new online link

I have found another link to a website that I want to recommend to my followers. The link is http://www.crochetuncut.com/

This is a website that has crochet patterns as well as blogs about crocheting.

Now that I'm well, I plan to get this blog going.

I have had a very uncomfortable year. In 2009, I broke the bones in my left arm (smashed them, actually). I underwent a 4 hour operation to reset the bones, and had titanium plates installed to allow the bones to heal properly.

Then, this year, I developed an allergy to the titanium plates, and had to have them surgically removed.

Just before the operation to remove the plates, I fell when getting off a city bus! I BADLY sprained my left ankle, dislocated my left index finger and cracked a small bone in my wrist.

As you can imagine, with all this happening, I was unable to do ANY crafting.

DRAT!!!!!!

However, now that I am well again, I plan to start doing crafts, and writing blogs.

..........................

I spotted a set of DVD's at the public library. They have a link to a TV show based web-site that provides free clips on how to knit and crochet.

The link is: www.knitandcrochetnow.com

The clips appear to be for people who already have at least the basics down for knitting and crocheting.

If I can find someone who has a working video recorder, I will make some clips showing how to do the basics.

If anyone in the Greater Vancouver area has a video recorder and would be willing to get together with me to record the stitches, please contact me to let me know.

What Is This Blog All About?

I have a dream!!

I want, one day, to open a store where I can teach street youth all kinds of needlecraft, and where they can have a venue in which they can display and sell any and all crafts that they make (including those that they have learned elsewhere).

I intend to use this blog to share techniques, patterns and other crafty items with other, like-minded individuals.

If you have patterns that you wish to share, feel free to do so. If you know where obscure craft equipment can be purchased, I urge you to share that here as well.

I do not limit the crafts to ONLY needle-crafts, all crafts are eligible!
